On June 20, the reporter learned that Sanya is actively developing and promoting prefabricated buildings, and has started construction of 7.23 million square meters of prefabricated buildings. By stepping up efforts to cultivate the entire industrial chain of the prefabricated construction market, improve the construction level and construction quality, and promote the green development of the city.

On the construction site of the Sanya Country Garden Panshan Cuidi Anju Housing Project, which is under intense and orderly construction, the construction workers transported the prefabricated stairs in the factory to the upper floors by hoisting. Compared with a series of processes such as supporting formwork, tying steel bars, and concrete pouring in traditional stair construction, as a prefabricated component of prefabricated buildings, prefabricated stairs can be installed directly, and the construction period is shortened from one to two days to one hour. 

"The overall assembly rate of this project has reached 53%. The average construction period of each floor according to the traditional process takes 5 to 6 days. After the assembly process is adopted, the construction period can be shortened to about 4 days." Based on the fact that the prefabricated building method can effectively shorten the construction period, 4 of the 8 buildings in the Sanya Country Garden Panshan Cuidi Anju Housing Project have been capped, and the overall capping is expected to be achieved in early July. In addition, the new construction method can also ensure the construction quality and craftsmanship, and reduce the occurrence of problems such as external wall leakage and wall cracking.

According to reports, when using prefabricated building construction, a large amount of sand, gravel and cement cannot be seen during the interior decoration process, and some are just prefabricated building components of different specifications. Just like assembling accessories, the wall panels are spliced together, and the partition board bonding mortar is applied to the gap, and one wall is assembled. "It helps to reduce the processing and secondary cleaning of on-site materials, reduce the construction of later walls and plastering, reduce on-site mortar mixing and construction of masonry materials, and greatly reduce dust pollution." The person in charge of Sanya Country Garden Shancuidi Anju Housing Project said.

By transferring a large number of on-site operations in traditional construction methods to factories, prefabricated building construction can reduce the generation of construction waste by one-third, which is highly in line with the construction industry development trend of low-carbon construction, green building and circular economy. According to the "Key Points of Building Energy Efficiency, Green Buildings, and Prefabricated Buildings in Sanya in 2022", Sanya strictly requires new civil construction projects with a total construction area of 5,000 square meters and above. In principle, new industrial building projects with a single building of 2,000 square meters and above must be constructed in a prefabricated manner.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Sanya Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, since 2017, Sanya has vigorously developed prefabricated buildings, and has achieved full coverage from civil buildings to industrial buildings and municipal bridge projects, and the assembly area has doubled year by year. The city's prefabricated buildings have a total area of 9.82 million square meters, of which 7.23 million square meters have been constructed.

Next, the prefabricated buildings in Sanya will enter a stage of comprehensive development. The prefabricated production base built by Sanya City Investment Group has started construction and is expected to be completed and put into operation within this year, solving the difficult problem of supply and demand for parts and components for Sanya and surrounding areas.
