In this report, Zhongnan Construction proposed that it adheres to the future development direction of "co-creation of the whole industry chain with high quality and adherence to green and sustainable development". This can be seen as the positioning of Zhongnan Construction for its own development, that is, to give full play to the advantages of its own construction industry chain and focus on high-quality development in the future.

According to reports, Zhongnan Construction integrates the green concept into the construction of the entire industrial chain, involving green development, green design, green construction, and green operation. The four aspects are synergistic and symbiotic to create a sustainable development model. Up to now, the area of Zhongnan Construction that meets the green building standards has reached 74.11 million square meters.

Zhongnan Construction has been actively exploring the transformation and technological upgrading of the construction industry many years ago. As early as 2007, Zhongnan Construction established the NPC (New Concrete Precast Assembly) Division, focusing on the modernization, transformation and upgrading of the construction industry, and constantly updating NPC technology. At present, six generations of NPC technology systems have been developed. By the end of 2021, relying on NPC technology, Zhongnan Construction has completed 2 sub-projects of the national science and technology support project, 2 provincial science and technology support plan projects, and 4 science and technology project plans of the Ministry of Construction. Among them, 3 achievements have been identified to reach the international advanced level, and 1 has reached the domestic leading level.

In the context of the national strategy of "carbon peaking in 2030 and carbon neutrality in 2060", Zhongnan Construction formulated the company's "14th Five-Year Strategic Planning Report" in 2021. They proposed to increase the development of steel structures and NPCs, focus on BIM technology and core technologies of intelligent construction, and build a new goal of industrialization, industrialization, and mechanization of technology-based and green building industry chains.
