Hunan Construction Engineering Group's embedded modular building refreshes many firsts in the industry

The delivery of the country's first "embedded modular building" and the move-in ceremony of the Shennong Yingcai Apartment of Hunan Agricultural University were successfully held.

In recent years, "fabricated (modular) buildings" are no longer unfamiliar to people. Recently, Hunan Construction Engineering Group, the leader of the "Construction Hunan Army", has set a new height in this field, and won many domestic and industry firsts in one fell swoop.

On May 17th, the delivery of the country's first "embedded modular building" and the move-in ceremony of the Shennong Yingcai Apartment of Hunan Agricultural University were successfully held. This project is a pilot project for the new modular system of steel structure units to move towards permanent buildings. The "steel frame structure unit box system" adopted by it is the first embedded modular building in China that has been approved by the administrative approval for construction. It is the first in the industry in administrative approval, design drawing review, manufacturing and standards, on-site acceptance standards, and installation and hoisting methods, and it is a milestone in the development of domestic modular buildings.

Chen Hong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Hunan Agricultural University, Zou Xuehua, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of Hunan Agricultural University, Gao Dongshan, first-level inspector of the Hunan Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and Chen Hao, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of Hunan Construction Engineering Group, attended the ceremony. Lan Yong, member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Hunan Agricultural University, presided over the ceremony.

At the ceremony, School Zou awarded the "Special Contribution" medal to Hunan Construction Engineering Group for the construction of Shennong Yingcai Apartment. Together with Gao Dongshan, Chen Hong and Chen Hao, they jointly unveiled the "Shennong Talented Apartment", announcing that the Shennong Talented Apartment was officially delivered and opened, and the leaders at the meeting issued the apartment keys to the representatives of young teachers.

It is reported that the Shennong Yingcai Apartment project of Hunan Agricultural University has a total construction area of 3853.73 square meters, 8 floors above ground, and a total of 388 unit modules. Since the start of the project, through the continuous exploration of the scientific research team, many technical difficulties of "stuck neck" have been overcome, and various parties have worked together to ensure the smooth completion of the project. At present, more than 20 national patents have been applied for/authorized, and it has been awarded as a demonstration project of the prefabricated construction industry in Hunan Province in 2022.
