Since the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan", Shandong Province has started construction of 176 million square meters of prefabricated buildings

On May 10, the Shandong Provincial Government Information Office held a press conference to interpret the "Opinions on Promoting the Development of the Whole Industry Chain of New Construction Industrialization" (hereinafter referred to as "Opinions"). Yin Tao, a second-level inspector of the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, introduced that since the "13th Five-Year Plan", the housing construction systems at all levels in the province have conscientiously implemented the relevant national and provincial deployment requirements, strengthened measures, overcome difficulties, and achieved certain results in promoting the development of prefabricated buildings.

The scale of the project continued to expand. Since the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan", the province has started construction of 176 million square meters of prefabricated buildings, of which 50.92 million square meters will be started in 2021, a year-on-year increase of 24%; in the first quarter of this year, 12.52 million square meters will be started, a year-on-year increase of 38%. The proportion of prefabricated buildings in new buildings ranks among the top in all provinces in the country.

Industrial development continued to grow. A number of local backbone enterprises have been cultivated and developed, and a number of leading enterprises outside the province have been introduced into Shandong to invest and build factories, and 232 manufacturers of various types of prefabricated building parts have been put into production, and three relatively concentrated prefabricated construction industry clusters have been initially formed in the provincial capital, Jiaodong, and Lunan.

Technological innovation continued to increase. Organized and carried out 32 research projects, compiled and implemented 34 local standards, and a number of achievements reached the domestic leading level. "Key technology innovation and industrial application of industrialized prefabricated buildings" won the first prize of provincial scientific and technological progress, and "Research on the technical system of steel structure prefabricated houses with integrated load-bearing, enclosure and thermal insulation" was approved by the national "2020 Key Project of Science and Technology Helping the Economy". Fourth, the typical leadership continued to strengthen. Striving to create 7 national prefabricated building demonstration cities and 34 industrial bases, ranking first in the country in total; 15 provincial demonstration cities, 120 demonstration projects and 121 industrial bases have been created. Approved to carry out the national steel structure residential construction pilot project, the construction of the pilot project is 3.4 million square meters, and the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development will promote the province's practice to the whole country.

Yin Tao said that in the next step, Shandong Province will focus on implementing the relevant requirements of the "Opinions", adhere to problem-oriented, innovation-driven, improve management and control mechanisms, improve technical standards, improve quality levels, strengthen team building, and promote experience and practices.
