On May 5, Guangzhou ushered in the first batch of centralized land supply in 2022. It is worth noting that the 18 parcels of land sold in this round all require the use of prefabricated construction methods.
In this auction, 2 of the 17 parcels sold at a premium. Both of these two plots require the bidder to implement a prefabricated building area ratio of not less than 70% of the calculated floor area ratio of the plot.
Following the three batches of land supply in 2021 that require 46, 48 and 17 prefabricated buildings respectively, the 18 parcels transferred in this round of centralized land supply also all require prefabricated construction. This highlights a strong signal of the urgency and importance of the government's push for the prefabricated construction industry. As a national central city, the core engine of the development of the Greater Bay Area, and the main force in Guangdong Province to promote prefabricated buildings, Guangzhou actively implements the spirit of the national prefabricated building policy document, and proactively promotes prefabricated buildings. In the process of land transfer, listing, and planning, prefabricated buildings will be taken as a necessary option, and the development of prefabricated buildings will be accelerated, and by 2025, the proportion of prefabricated buildings in new buildings will not be less than 50%.
