On the afternoon of April 23, the expert demonstration meeting on the design and construction plan of the lower beam prefabricated installation of the Taizhou Gangshen International Logistics Center Wharf Project was held online in the form of a video conference. The meeting approved the design plan of the cast-in-place conversion of the lower beam to the prefabricated installation, which will be the first port engineering project along the Yangtze River using prefabricated technology.

The Shenzhen International Logistics Center Wharf Project is a provincial key project and a coal logistics park with a national key layout. It is located in the Xingang operation area of Jingjiang Port District, with an estimated total investment of 2.285 billion yuan. This is a high-level environmental protection, intelligent and professional coal terminal built on the basis of no new shoreline of the Yangtze River terminal. The project builds two 100,000-ton bulk berths (the hydraulic structure is designed for berthing 150,000-ton bulk carriers), with a berth length of 693 meters and an annual design throughput of 13.6 million tons.

According to the traditional construction plan of high-piled wharf along the river, the lower beams are constructed by cast-in-place method, which requires a large amount of raw materials. Affected by the epidemic, it is difficult for pile suppliers to ensure the supply of raw materials, which affects the progress of the project. At the same time, the summer flood period is coming. If the construction of the lower beam cannot be completed in time, it will affect the quality of the previously completed pile foundation projects and cause serious losses.

After learning about the relevant situation, the Municipal Transportation Port and Shipping Development Center took the initiative to contact the project design unit and construction unit according to the requirements of the Provincial Department of Transportation to "actively expand effective investment in transportation" and "help enterprises to bail out". Explore the feasibility of applying the new prefabricated high-piled wharf technology with successful cases in coastal areas to port projects along the river. Due to the great differences in tidal range, water flow velocity and operating conditions along the Yangtze River and coastal areas, the Port and Shipping Center organized technical personnel from relevant units to focus on technical research, and promptly came up with relatively mature design plans, construction organization and structural testing and inspection requirements, and successfully passed the expert argumentation.

The application of this technology, mainly through the standardization, modularization and easy on-site assembly of the wharf components, greatly reduces the number of on-site operating vessels and personnel, reduces the safety risks of the operators working on the water, and improves the construction efficiency. This realizes the separation of the high-piled wharf component manufacturing unit and the installation and construction unit. On the premise that the total project cost does not increase significantly, it effectively overcomes the difficulty that raw materials cannot be continuously and timely entered during the severe epidemic situation. At the same time, it is more conducive to reducing environmental pollution at the port engineering construction site, improving the environmental capacity, and improving the green level of the city's port construction process.
