The Kang'ai Road public toilet is the first multi-functional intelligent assembled toilet in Shapingba District, which will be put into use before the "May 1st" festival. This year, Shapingba District will build a new prefabricated toilet in Xinqiao area, and upgrade and renovate 8 public toilets.

The public toilet covers an area of 80 square meters. It is near the gate of Chenjiaqiao New Hospital and stops at multiple bus stops. After it is put into use, it will greatly solve the problem of residents in the area going to the toilet.

The reporter learned that the main structure of the public toilet is all made of new thin-walled light steel assembly structure. The construction period is two months shorter than that of traditional toilets, and the assembly can be completed and put into use in one month at the fastest.

"Building prefabricated public toilets is like 'building blocks', and most of them can be completed in the workshop." Wu Mingcai, chief of the Facilities Section of the Sanitation Department of Shapingba District, introduced that all kinds of fabricated building components were transported to the site and assembled for the main body.

"You can see if there are any vacancies at a glance." The values on the electronic display are updated and displayed in real time. Citizens entering the toilet can intuitively see the real-time information of the operation of the public toilet through the LED screen, including the structure of the public toilet, the flow of people, the usage of squatting seats, how many toilet seats are still empty, the air quality in the toilet, and the ground hygiene conditions.

At night or in dim conditions (ambient illumination ≤ 1 LUX), if someone enters the toilet, the light source will automatically light up. After the user leaves, it will automatically turn off after a certain time delay to achieve the purpose of saving energy and reducing consumption.
