On April 1, a modern prefabricated building with a height of 17.25 meters rose from the site of the Taiyuan Wusu International Airport Phase III Reconstruction and Expansion Project, which was undertaken by Shanxi Construction Investment and Installation Group. The project has reached the delivery conditions. This is the business room of the project site headquarters, and the prefabricated construction and digital technology application shined brightly in the project implementation process. The main frame, floor, roof, and inner and outer walls of the building all adopt prefabricated components, with an assembly rate of more than 80%. It only took 45 days from foundation construction to completion of the main body, ensuring the smooth development of the follow-up work of the headquarters.

"Assembled + digital" construction is an inevitable requirement to promote the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry and achieve high-quality development. Driven by departments at all levels in the province, prefabricated buildings in Shanxi Province have grown steadily, and the application of digital technology has added wisdom to prefabricated construction. There are 46 prefabricated building-related enterprises in the province, 24 parts and components production enterprises have been completed and put into production, with a production capacity of 36.8 million square meters, and a total of 19.8978 million square meters of prefabricated buildings have been constructed.

Prefabricated construction is a bright business card of the installation group. The province's first 7-kilometer superimposed and prefabricated integrated pipe gallery project was completed and put into use as scheduled, and a demonstration model for the whole process of BIM construction integration of electromechanical installation and decoration engineering was successfully built at Jing'an Temple Station of Shanghai Metro Line 14. The "fabricated + digital" construction of the on-site headquarters of Taiyuan Wusu International Airport Phase III Reconstruction and Expansion Project marks that the comprehensive strength of the installation group has reached a new level. From the first demonstration in the field of electromechanical installation, to the application of the whole process of the project, to the full life cycle service of a single building, the group has embarked on a new path for the transformation of construction enterprises.

After winning the bid for the project, the installation group strengthened its responsibility as a state-owned enterprise, mobilized the backbone, fought hard day and night, overcame factors such as tight construction schedule, epidemic prevention and control, and winter construction, and completed the target task with high quality and efficiency, once again interpreting the unity of speed and quality. The on-site headquarters project of Taiyuan Wusu International Airport Phase III Reconstruction and Expansion Project adopts the "EPC + prefabricated" model. The advantages of the whole industry chain of the installation group are fully reflected in all aspects of design, manufacturing, construction, etc., and many prefabricated products such as steel structure, laminated board, prefabricated stairs, ALC board, thermal insulation and decoration integrated board are widely used.

The application of digital technology has become a highlight in the implementation of the project. Zhang Xu, the person in charge of the project's BIM technology, introduced that, with the support of the BIM Information Technology Research Institute and Design Institute of the Installation Group, BIM technology runs through all stages of the project's forward design, factory prefabrication, prefabricated construction, and digital delivery. Combined with the BIM prefabricated collaborative management and control platform independently developed by the company, the established goals of precise construction, saving construction period, cross-operation, and one-time excellence have been achieved, and a series of digital achievements have been formed, which can be used for the whole life cycle operation and maintenance of buildings. At the same time as the project entity is delivered, the project department will deliver a digital platform to the owner, including project data, electronic drawings, BIM models, etc. The construction process, material information, equipment parameters, etc. of the building are all included, which lays a good foundation for the intelligent operation and maintenance of the building.
