China Construction Third Engineering Bureau: precast concretes have "digital ID cards"

Recently, the wall line MES management system independently developed by the Science and Technology Innovation Company of China Construction Third Engineering Bureau was officially launched in Wuhan Hannan PC Component Factory, promoting the quality and efficiency of assembly line production and reducing management costs by nearly 60%.

The wall line MES management system is a factory information management system independently developed by the China Construction Third Engineering Group Co. By opening up the closed-loop management of the production plan, production process, and quality inspection of prefabricated building prefabricated wall panel components, the system allows managers to obtain the required data at the minute level, increasing the line balance rate of the production line to 70%.

"We're giving every PC component a 'digital ID'. Through identification on the factory production line, you can know the process drawings, standard processes, bills of materials, production hours, costs, etc. of components, so as to achieve precise control of the entire production process." said Tu Ming, the R&D staff. The system will automatically assign a unique identification code to the planned components to be produced, and industrial workers on the assembly line can automatically call up the corresponding station drawings on the station machine through the radio frequency identification device (RFID). The standardized process is used to accurately implement the corresponding process, which can effectively avoid the interference between different processes while ensuring the quality of the components, and achieve precise control of the entire production process.

According to reports, the system consists of production management, line-side instructions, data collection, decision-making reports and other parts. It can automatically convert the process drawings, design material lists, etc. output in the design stage into clear and easy-to-understand production process drawings and production material lists to reduce waste in the construction process. Not only that, the system will also automatically record the time consumed by the completion of each process, support managers to efficiently complete the production scheduling plan, and realize the automatic release of station production tasks and automatic collection of production data. Build a relational production database between production process drawings, engineering lists, production process standards, and production consumption quotas, and automatically collect data through the information system to achieve automatic database iteration.

Compared with the current domestic management mode that takes the production line as the main service object, the wall line MES management system extends the management tentacles to every station of the production line. While effectively shortening the production time, the average management personnel of each production line can be reduced by 4 people, and the management cost can be reduced by nearly 60%. The digital management method based on the information system realizes the efficient management of multiple business processes such as production process tracking, production quality management, product process traceability, production energy control, and production line human resources management.
