The reporter learned on March 25 that the Coordination Group for the Promotion of Prefabricated Buildings in Foshan City has issued the "Key Points of the Promotion of Prefabricated Buildings in Foshan City in 2022" (hereinafter referred to as "Key Points of Work"). According to the special planning of prefabricated buildings in Foshan City, in 2022, Foshan City must ensure that the new prefabricated buildings account for more than 26% of the new construction area.

The development of prefabricated buildings is the main path for the development of construction industrialization at present, and it is the main starting point and important measure for carbon reduction and emission reduction, promotion of green building materials, standardization of the construction market, and construction technology innovation. Promoting the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry and the development of prefabricated buildings have been listed as one of the eight key tasks of the National Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Work Conference in 2022.

Government investment projects should comprehensively promote the implementation of prefabricated buildings. Foshan is a national model city of prefabricated buildings and a provincial demonstration city of prefabricated buildings. The "Key Points of Work" requires all districts and departments in Foshan to unify their thinking, actively promote prefabricated buildings, and build a new pattern of high-quality development of the construction industry in Foshan. Government-invested projects, towers with a high degree of standardization and other projects suitable for prefabricated construction should be fully promoted and implemented.

The "Key Points of Work" proposes that the construction units of Foshan City and Foshan districts who plan to start new government-invested housing construction projects should clearly implement the relevant content of prefabricated buildings in the stage of compiling project proposals and engineering construction plans. The housing and urban-rural development department proposed the construction requirements for prefabricated buildings during the consultation phase of the list of land resources and technical control indicators. Sanshui District further promotes the implementation of prefabricated buildings in areas where the cost increase is not large.

Encourage industrial workshops, rural self-built houses, etc., to implement prefabricated construction methods. At present, the development model of prefabricated buildings in Foshan has been formed. The "Key Points of Work" proposes to encourage industrial plants and rural self-built houses to implement prefabricated construction methods to improve building quality and construction safety. Promote the application of prefabricated concrete parts in municipal facilities and comprehensive pipe galleries, and continuously expand the application scope of prefabricated parts.

Foshan will create a normalized display base of prefabricated building technology with Foshan characteristics. According to the relevant work requirements of the prefabricated building demonstration city, the "Foshan Prefabricated Industry Demonstration Hall" will be created, focusing on prefabricated buildings, prefabricated decoration, intelligent construction, and green building materials to demonstrate the characteristics and advantages of Foshan's construction industry.
