Hainan Province will accelerate the development of the whole industry chain of prefabricated buildings this year

The prefabricated building is one of the landmark projects in Hainan's construction of a national ecological civilization pilot zone. In recent years, our province has accelerated the promotion of the layout of the prefabricated building industry, guided the prefabricated building production enterprises to settle in Hainan to develop the entire industrial chain, and vigorously promoted the construction and application of prefabricated buildings. In 2021, the area of new construction projects in the province will be 45 million square meters, of which prefabricated buildings account for 51%. It is expected that prefabricated buildings will account for more than 60% of the newly added construction area in the province this year.

The CCCC International Free Trade Center project, which is under construction on Guoxing Avenue in Haikou City, is constructed with an all-steel structure system, with an assembly rate of 76.6%. "The construction of prefabricated buildings not only reduces dust and noise pollution on the construction site, but the biggest advantage is to shorten the construction period." Wang Junfeng, general manager of Haikou CCCC Guoxing Industrial Co., Ltd., said that the project's use of prefabricated buildings has greatly improved the construction efficiency. The originally expected four-year construction period has now been shortened to three years.

In order to improve the production capacity layout of prefabricated buildings, in 2020, the provincial government has made it clear that the new production capacity of prefabricated building components will be concentrated in the Jinjingang Park in Lingao County. The whole industrial chain cluster of prefabricated buildings integrating R&D, design, production, construction, trading and maintenance is planned and developed in Jinjingang Park. In the past two years, projects such as China Railway Construction Hainan Green Building Industrial Park, Kangzhuang Housing Industry Prefabricated Building Parts Production Base, Hainan Zhite Prefabricated Building and New Material Industrial Park have been successively implemented, constructed and put into production.

"This year, we will continue to increase investment efforts to attract enterprises to settle down. In the future, a whole industry chain of upstream, mid-stream and downstream new-type buildings will be formed, including upstream raw material production, equipment supply, R&D and design, midstream component production, building construction, downstream prefabricated decoration, prefabricated furniture, and operation and maintenance management.” According to Lin Weizhe, chairman of Hainan Jinfa Park Development Management Co., Ltd., the Jinjingang Prefabricated Construction Industrial Park will be built into a "core engine" that drives the high-quality development of Hainan's prefabricated construction industry in the future.

Wu Yachun also revealed that Haijian Group is the first enterprise in the province to "test the water" in the prefabricated construction market, and now it is committed to promoting the reform of construction methods and promoting the transformation and upgrading of the traditional construction industry. "Now our annual production capacity of prefabricated prefabricated components can reach 300,000 cubic meters, with an annual supply of nearly 9.5 million square meters of construction area, and a total of 235 construction projects in the province."
