The first large-scale prefabricated bridge project in Guangdong Province passed the acceptance of the first sample of prefabricated cover beam hoisting

On March 21, 2022, the Dongxiaonan Project Supervision Department organized the acceptance of the first sample of the prefabricated cover beam hoisting for the second tender section of the southern section of the Dongxiaonan Road-Guangzhou South Railway Station connecting line. The five parties responsible for the construction of the project inspected the various procedures of the model project, and conducted detailed and in-depth exchanges on the technical details of the construction. After unanimous approval, the acceptance of the prefabricated cover beam hoisting model in the second bidding section was successfully passed, which marked that the construction of the bridge prefabricated substructure of the Dongxiaonan project has entered a new stage of hoisting, and also laid a solid foundation for the project construction.

Prefabricated bridges can reduce the interference to existing traffic during bridge construction, improve construction quality, shorten construction periods, improve the safety of construction sites, and reduce the impact of noise generated during construction on surrounding residents and the environment. The company is responsible for the supervision of the southern section of the Dongxiaonan Road-Guangzhou South Railway Station connecting line, and the bridge engineering adopts a prefabricated structure. This project has 182 prefabricated piers, 132 prefabricated cover beams, and 1064 prefabricated box beams. At present, the prefabrication factory has been completed, and the production and installation of prefabricated components are starting in an orderly manner.

In view of the difficulties of high construction accuracy requirements of prefabricated bridges and the lack of construction experience for similar projects in China, the supervision department and the construction unit worked together to brainstorm and work together to continuously summarize and improve the construction technology and improve the quality and safety management level of the project. By strengthening process supervision, the project quality and safety are ensured.
