Xiaogan, Hubei: Promote the development of prefabricated buildings and accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry

Recently, the Hubei Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-rural Development issued the "Notice on Decomposing and Assigning the Target and Tasks of Prefabricated Buildings in Our Province in 2022" (hereinafter referred to as the "Notice"). The target of new prefabricated buildings in Xiaogan City in 2022 is 1 million square meters, accounting for no less than 25% of the new building area.

The "Notice" pointed out that it is necessary to rationally arrange and build production bases, strictly control the project approval and landing threshold, government investment projects should take the lead in the construction of prefabricated methods, and encourage and support social investment projects to adopt prefabricated construction methods. Leaders, business departments, leading units and relevant units should do a good job of tracking and inquiring about results, and should take the initiative to sort out and guide enterprises to declare and enjoy various relevant support policies, and vigorously cultivate professional talents.

In recent years, Xiaogan City has actively created a policy environment suitable for prefabricated buildings, and issued a customized "Implementation Opinions on Accelerating the Modernization of the Construction Industry" to fully support the construction of industrial bases and the implementation of projects. Up to now, there are 9 prefabricated production enterprises in the city, including Hubei Yuhui Zhonggong Construction Industrialization Co., Ltd., Hubei Yuyu Assembly Components Co., Ltd., and Hubei Tianxin Wood Structure Housing Manufacturing Co., Ltd. It has achieved full coverage of prefabricated concrete structure, steel structure and wood structure prefabricated production enterprise types (only 4 cities and prefectures in the province have achieved full coverage), with a total annual designed production capacity of 1.7 million square meters and 58,800 tons of steel structure products. In 2021, the city's new prefabricated buildings will have a total area of 805,200 square meters, accounting for 115% of the annual target of 700,000 square meters of new prefabricated buildings set by the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, exceeding the target for four consecutive years. In January 2022, Xiaogan Hubei Yuhui Zhonggong Construction Industrialization Co., Ltd. was successfully awarded the provincial-level prefabricated building production demonstration base, becoming one of the 13 parts and components production demonstration bases in the province.
