Hainan Province's prefabricated building construction area and production capacity have doubled

In 2021, Hainan Province will promote the development of the prefabricated construction industry in an all-round way, and hand in a dazzling report card: the province has determined that the construction area of the prefabricated construction method is 22.8 million square meters, which has doubled year by year for four consecutive years. There are 24 component production bases that have been put into production and 5 component production bases under construction. The total production capacity can basically meet the province's prefabricated building construction needs.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-rural Development, the development of prefabricated buildings is a major change in the way of building construction. Hainan Province not only regards it as an important measure to promote the transformation and upgrading of the province's construction industry, but also regards it as one of the important supporting tasks for carbon peaking and carbon neutrality in Hainan Province. Although Hainan Province is still affected by the new crown pneumonia epidemic in 2021, Hainan Province scientifically plans the layout of prefabricated building production bases, and has issued incentive policies to support the construction of construction projects using prefabricated construction methods. Prefabricated buildings show a substantial growth trend.

In 2021, from government-invested public building projects to commercial housing, corporate office and commercial buildings and other construction projects, there will be more and more projects using prefabricated building construction methods. According to statistics, the construction area of the province determined to be constructed by prefabrication will increase from 11 million square meters in 2020 to 22.8 million square meters in 2021, an increase of more than 2 times, and has doubled year by year for four consecutive years. According to statistics, in 2021, the area of new construction projects in the province will be 45 million square meters, and prefabricated buildings will account for 51% of the new construction in the whole year. This year, Hainan Province strives for the construction area of prefabricated buildings to account for more than 60% of the newly added construction area.

The number of prefabricated building projects is increasing year by year, and the production capacity demand of prefabricated components in Hainan Province continues to increase. Many companies have seen the development potential of the prefabricated building market in Hainan and settled in Hainan to build a production base of prefabricated components. The Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development also accelerated the improvement of the production capacity planning and layout of prefabricated components, and accelerated the construction of the prefabricated construction industrial park in Lingao Jinjin Port. The production bases of China Railway Construction Group Co., Ltd., Kangzhuang Housing Industry Group, and Jiangxi Zhite New Materials Co., Ltd. have been put into operation one after another last year. According to statistics, there are currently 29 prefabricated building production bases in the province, of which 24 have been put into production and 5 are under construction.
