The reporter learned that the BIM demonstration project of the Science City High-tech Industry Service Center is located at No. 33, Qiuyun Road, Pukou Economic Development Zone, Nanjing, with the planned park green space in the east, Qiuyun Road in the north, and Jinsui River in the west. It has 7 floors above ground and 2 floors underground, covering a total area of about 11.4 mu and a total construction area of about 30,000 square meters, of which the above-ground construction area is about 19,000 square meters and the underground construction area is about 11,000 square meters. The project adopts the building information system in design, construction and future operation, which can not only use the 3D model and the collision detection function of the software itself to complete the modification in time, but also greatly reduce the probability of errors, touches and leaks. The system display of civil engineering and installation is also more intuitive, which has achieved remarkable results in speeding up the construction speed, reducing costs, and quality control, and effectively improving the management level.

Using BIM technology to perform collision detection before project construction can detect drawing problems in advance, thereby reducing losses due to design errors and the possibility of rework, and speeding up the construction progress. Using BIM technology, virtual roaming is performed inside the BIM model of the building to predict the risk factors in the construction process in advance.
