Recently, the statistical data on the economic operation of the construction industry in Suzhou in 2021 has been released. In the first year of the "14th Five-Year Plan", the total output value of the city's construction industry exceeded the 400 billion mark for the first time.

Statistics show that in 2021, the city will complete a total construction output value of 418.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12% and an increase of 33% from the same period in 2019. Among them, the total output value of the construction industry completed in the province was 307.1 billion yuan, an increase of 14% year-on-year, and an increase of 37% compared with the same period in 2019; the total output value of the construction industry completed outside the province was 111 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6%, an increase of 23% compared with the same period in 2019. ‍

From the perspective of sectors, there are 4 city and district sectors with a total output value of the city's construction industry exceeding 50 billion. Among them, the total output value of the construction industry in Xiangcheng District is 66.8 billion yuan, followed by: Gusu District, 57 billion yuan, Kunshan City, 54.4 billion yuan, and Suzhou Industrial Park, 51.5 billion yuan.
