This green public building in Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province received three-star pre-assessment of the new green label

Recently, the Yangtze River International Conference Center project, the first three-star green public building in Jiangsu Province that has passed the "2019 version of the new green label pre-evaluation certification", has completed internal and external preparations and will be opened to the public soon.

This project is a vivid epitome of the large-scale and high-star development of green buildings in Nanjing. The Yangtze River International Conference Center is located in the core area of Jiangbei New District, with a land area of 87,400 square meters, a building area of 187,200 square meters, and a building height of 157.0 meters. The project combines the modeling to realize the design concept of “layers and waves” and the concept of green and low-carbon technology from three aspects of architectural details, structural system and selection of building materials, which reduces building carbon emissions by 54.8% compared with similar buildings.

In terms of architectural design, the project selected the three-glass two-chamber glass curtain wall with excellent thermal performance, and the external wall and roof with excellent thermal insulation performance. After being put into use, the building air conditioning and heating demand will be reduced by more than 20%, reducing operating energy consumption from the source.

Walking into the conference hall of the Yangtze River International Conference Center, you will find that the multi-functional area and conference banquet area with an area of nearly 9,000 square meters, equivalent to 1.26 football fields, does not have a column inside.

To achieve such an effect, "steel frame + steel support" is indispensable. According to the project leader: "The steel structure of the Yangtze River International Conference Center is about 46,000 tons in total, which is 6.6 times the weight of the Eiffel Tower and 3.3 times that of the Jiangbei New District Civic Center. The prefabricated assembly rate of our project reaches 70%, which meets the evaluation requirements of two-star prefabricated buildings. "

The hotel area of the Yangtze River International Conference Center has a total of 33 floors, with a building height of 157 meters, a structural aspect ratio of 9.6, and an aspect ratio of 6.6. It is a wind-sensitive building. How does the "thin" tower standing on the riverside maintain its own stability? It turns out that there are two sets of "building artifact" in the hotel building, namely the hotel wind vibration control system - two sets of active and passive hybrid mass dampers (ATMD). Each set of dampers weighs about 175 tons, which can reduce the response of acceleration in strong winds, and use left and right swings to reduce the amplitude of building shaking. It is the first project in Jiangsu Province to apply ATMD technology.

The air-conditioning, water supply and drainage, electrical and other major energy-consuming equipment of the project are all made of high-energy-efficiency products. The air-conditioning and refrigeration host of the project uses a magnetic levitation frequency conversion ultra-high-efficiency chiller. The comprehensive energy efficiency improvement rate on the design day reaches 12%, and the comprehensive energy efficiency improvement rate for the whole year reaches more than 40%, which greatly reduces the operating energy consumption of the building. In terms of domestic hot water supply, due to the inability to utilize the solar water heating system in the architectural shape, the project selects a high-energy-efficiency air source heat pump system to provide domestic hot water, and the comprehensive energy consumption of the system throughout the year is lower than that of the solar water heating system.

In Nanjing, there are more and more high-efficiency public buildings like the Yangtze River International Conference Center. In recent years, the Municipal Construction Committee has made great efforts to promote the energy efficiency improvement and renovation of public buildings by taking the lead in formulating implementation plans, implementing renovation funds, and issuing technical guidelines.
