Wuxi Metro's innovative exploration of prefabricated projects helps the city's green and low-carbon development

Prefabricated buildings have received extensive attention from the domestic construction industry because of their good construction quality, fast speed, green, low-carbon, environmental protection, and labor saving. The country, provinces and cities have issued a number of guidance and implementation opinions, vigorously promote the PC+EPC construction model, support the development of prefabricated buildings, and actively support carbon peak and carbon neutral actions.


Wuxi Metro Group actively responded to the deployment of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government on accelerating the modernization of the construction industry and promoting the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry, further strengthening the responsibility of state-owned enterprises, and closely following the theme of high-quality development. Relying on its own "production-university-research-application" integrated platform, it will carry out in-depth exploration and practice of prefabricated buildings, use innovation to drive technological changes, solve problems for future high-quality development, and promote high-quality economic and social development.


A few days ago, Zhang Jun, deputy secretary and president of Wuxi Metro Group, made a special trip to the construction site of Nanmen Station on Xicheng S1 Line to investigate the work of prefabricated stations. On-site survey to understand the components, technology, engineering progress, technical standards, standardized production of components and parts, and cost control. Responsible persons from Wuxi Metro Group, Construction Company, Wuxi Tianying Construction Company, Xicheng CRRC (Wuxi), CRRC Construction, and China Railway First Bureau Urban Rail Company participated in the survey.


The Nanmen Station of Xicheng S1 Line, as a pilot project of an assembled superimposed integral underground station, has been enclosed since October 2020. The construction method is novel, the professional interface is many, and the degree of comprehensiveness is high. The total length of the station is 198.7 meters, of which the prefabricated assembly section is located in the middle of the station, with a total length of 150 meters, and the cast-in-place section is located at both ends of the station, with a total length of 48.7m. The prefabricated range mainly includes laminated walls, prestressed laminated slabs, laminated beams, concrete-filled steel tube columns, platform slabs, stairs, and rail-top air ducts. At present, many technological gaps in the country have been filled in the project's scientific research and design results. Many technological innovations have been proposed for the first time in China, and will be committed to becoming the first domestically assembled and integrated integrated underground station demonstration project.


In the meeting room of the project department, the prefabricated project research team reported on the development of the "production, study, research and use" of the prefabricated underground station of Wuxi Metro and the development of the industrial chain. While fully affirming the effectiveness of the pilot project of the Nanmen Station Prefabricated Project, the research team provided guidance for the development and incubation of the follow-up industrial chain. The first is to continue to take a highly responsible attitude, precise and pragmatic measures, and earnest efforts to work hard, and earnestly grasp the implementation of project tasks, and take the responsibility of contributing state-owned enterprises to the forefront of high-quality development and modernization in Wuxi. The second is to focus on the new trend of intelligent development, deeply grasp the important opportunity period, establish the awareness of "striving for the first, creating the unique", and expand the assembly process and mode from point to surface into a model project. The third is to strengthen overall planning, focus on efficiency improvement, increase resource integration, and support project construction with sufficient and accurate data. The fourth is to take into account the follow-up industry derivation, improve the level of scenario application, strengthen technology management and legal protection of intellectual property rights and patents, and make greater efforts to create a strong scientific research innovation and promote development atmosphere.


The assembled superimposed integral structure is between the assembled structure and the cast-in-place concrete structure, and belongs to a new type of hybrid structure. It not only has the advantages of factoryization of prefabricated structural components, less on-site wet work, short construction period, etc., but also has the advantages of good waterproof performance and seismic performance of cast-in-place concrete. The construction of the Nanmen Station on the Xicheng S1 Line has filled the gap in the domestically assembled superimposed integrated underground station. The whole system embodies the concept of green, environmental protection and smart construction.
