Fujian Province Holds Green Building Theme Exhibition

On December 24, the Fujian Urban and Rural Construction Green and Low-Carbon Development Forum and Green Building Theme Exhibition was held in Fuzhou Sanfang Qixiang. The activity systematically reviews the phased results achieved in the development of green buildings in Fujian Province.

The event was guided by the Fujian Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-rural Development and sponsored by 8 units including the Provincial Academy of Building Research Co., Ltd. The event discussed how to promote green and low-carbon development of urban and rural construction through green building theme exhibitions, video broadcasts, online and offline expert discussions, etc., and actively provide advice and suggestions for achieving the dual-carbon goal.

In recent years, Fujian Province has vigorously carried out green building creation actions, combined with Fujian Province’s climate and economic resources and other conditions, formed a series of green building technology and policy guarantee systems such as planning, construction, management, and renovation. Vigorously promote the green and low-carbon development of the whole life cycle of buildings, and carry out active pilot demonstrations and large-scale applications in new green buildings, building energy efficiency improvement, energy-saving renovation of existing buildings, renewable energy buildings, green building materials, and prefabricated buildings.

Statistics show that during the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, Fujian Province has built over 200 million square meters of green buildings. It has obtained 441 green building signs, covering an area of 57.32 million square meters, forming a large number of new green building demonstration projects such as Fuzhou Strait Culture and Art Center and Xiamen AVIC Zijin Plaza.

The Fujian Provincial People's Congress Standing Committee deliberated and passed the "Fujian Province Green Building Development Regulations" in July this year and will be implemented on January 1 next year.
