Guangxi: 38 prefabricated construction industry bases completed and put into production

Guangxi News Network, Nanning, December 10 (correspondent Huang Shiyi) Recently, the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department of the Autonomous Region held a 2021 prefabricated building technology application training course in Nanning. The author learned from the meeting that at present, 38 prefabricated construction industrial bases in the region have been completed and put into production, with an annual production capacity of 1,268,200 cubic meters of prefabricated concrete components and 716,900 tons of prefabricated steel structures. There are 55 prefabricated construction projects under construction, with a total construction area of 4.78 million square meters.

It is understood that since Guangxi began to promote prefabricated buildings in 2016, in accordance with the decisions and deployment of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the Party Committee and the government of the autonomous region, it has always adhered to a mature, reliable and applicable prefabricated technical standard system as a whole. Taking the EPC project general contracting and the integrated design based on BIM technology as the "two wings" development idea, pilot projects are the first and the demonstration drives. Focus on the construction of pilot cities, demonstration bases and demonstration projects, and actively explore a new way to steadily promote the development of prefabricated buildings in underdeveloped and post-developed areas, and achieve initial results. At present, through the joint efforts of various departments and enterprises, Guangxi's prefabricated building system is becoming more and more perfect, the industrial scale is gradually expanding, the construction technology is becoming mature, and the talent training is on the right track. It is expected that the area of newly built prefabricated buildings this year will increase by more than 40% compared with last year.

The early development of prefabricated buildings cannot do without policy guidance. Since 2020, in response to the development of prefabricated buildings in the region, the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department of the Autonomous Region has issued the "Three Boards" document. Steady promotion of prefabricated components with mature technology and small cost increments will continue to increase policy support for the prefabricated construction industry. It will also issue important prefabricated documents such as the "Special Plan for the Industrialization of New-type Buildings in Guangxi" and "The Implementation Plan for Industrialization of New-type Buildings in Guangxi". At the same time, the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department of the Autonomous Region has allocated 20 million yuan in rewards and subsidies for prefabricated parts and components this year, and 14.4 million yuan in rewards and subsidies for 6 prefabricated rural housing demonstration villages and towns, thereby reducing pressure on the industry.

The relevant person in charge of the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the Autonomous Region said that in the next step, the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the Autonomous Region will strengthen the training of workers in the prefabricated construction industry. This year, it plans to train 4,500 people for free, and next year it plans to train 10,000 people for free. Vigorously cultivate professional and technical workers of various types of prefabricated construction, and provide outstanding talents for the prefabricated construction industry.
