138 days! Prefabricated buildings in Zibo City, Shandong Province sprint new speed

Recently, the comprehensive building and the experimental training building of the Zibo Education, Science and Industry Integration Base of Qingdao University of Science and Technology have been officially topped off, marking that the main structure of the first phase of the Zibo Education, Science and Industry Integration Base Project of Qingdao University of Science and Technology has been completely capped. The project started construction in July this year, and it only took 138 days to complete the construction of the main structure.

The first phase of the Zibo Education, Science and Industry Integration Base Project of Qingdao University of Science and Technology is planned to cover an area of 203 acres with a construction area of about 268,000 square meters. After completion, it can meet the needs of 5,000 undergraduates and 500 postgraduates for experimental training and scientific research.

According to Shang Minglou, director of the Engineering Construction Office of the Zibo Education, Science and Industry Integration Base of Qingdao University of Science and Technology, during the construction of the Zibo Base of Youth Science and Technology University, the construction office actively responded to the call of the Zibo Municipal Party Committee and Government on the development of prefabricated buildings. All the buildings in the base adopt prefabricated buildings, including the experimental training building, comprehensive building, and gymnasium totaling 190,000 square meters, all of which are prefabricated steel structure buildings, and 80,000 square meters of student apartment buildings and teacher and graduate apartments are prefabricated PC structures. 

In terms of the assembly rate, the construction unit has done everything that should be installed. The steel structure assembly rate is 76%, reaching the two-star standard for prefabricated buildings; the assembly rate of concrete structures is 64%, reaching the one-star standard for prefabricated buildings.

At present, the construction of the project is proceeding in an orderly manner. The main body, interior and exterior decoration and partial installation works will be completed this year, and will be fully delivered to use before the end of August next year.
