From January to September 2021, the green building area in Inner Mongolia will reach 22,985,700 square meters

Since the beginning of the year, the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has conscientiously implemented the "Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Civil Building Energy Conservation and Green Building Development Regulations" and the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region People's Government General Office on Strengthening Building Energy Conservation and Green Building Development Implementation Opinions and other laws and policies. Fully implement the new development concept, strengthen the “dual control” of energy consumption in housing and urban-rural construction, promote the realization of carbon peak and carbon neutral goals, and promote the high-quality development of green buildings in the region.

From January to September 2021, there were 1,298 green building projects in the district that passed the review of construction drawings, covering 22,985,700 square meters, a year-on-year increase of 7%;  A total of 7 projects with a green building evaluation mark, covering 1,135,800 square meters. Among them, the green building area that passed the construction drawing review in Hohhot exceeded 6 million square meters, and the green building area that passed the construction drawing review in Hulunbuir, Chifeng and Ordos all exceeded 2 million square meters. Both Baotou City and Tongliao City passed over 1.5 million square meters of green building areas that passed the construction drawing review, and the green building areas that passed the construction drawing review in the six league cities accounted for more than 78% of the total area of the district. The area of green buildings in Xilin Gol League, Ulan Chabu City, Alxa League, Wuhai City, Manzhouli City and Erenhot City that passed the review of construction drawings has increased compared with the same period last year.

In the next step, the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department of the Autonomous Region will intensify the overall planning, improve the green building supervision mechanism, and improve the level of green building development. Starting from 2022, the new buildings in the overall urban planning area of the entire region will fully implement the green building standards. Strictly implement the requirements of the "Green Building Label Management Measures" and "Green Building Evaluation Standards", and gradually increase the proportion of star-rated green buildings.
