"The 14th Five-Year Plan for the Development of Hubei Construction Industry" Released——Promote the Innovation of Construction Methods with the Help of Intelligent Technology

It was learned on October 24 that the Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development issued the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan for the Development of Hubei Construction Industry" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan"), proposing to polish the golden signboard of "Hubei Construction". By 2025, the province’s annual construction industry output value will reach over 2.5 trillion yuan, with an average annual growth rate of over 10%.

During the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, the total output value of the construction industry in Hubei Province was 7.35 trillion yuan, and its status as a pillar industry in the national economy continued to increase. Especially in 2020, the province's construction industry has made a major contribution to winning the "Hubei Defense War" and the "Wuhan Defense War"-creating the "China Speed" with the completion of the Huoshenshan Hospital in 10 days and the Leishenshan Hospital in 12 days. It took only 2 months to formulate and publish the Chinese-English bilingual version of "Relevant Technical Requirements for the Design and Reconstruction of Fangcai Hospitals" for reference by countries around the world, reflecting China's role.

According to the "Plan", during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the construction industry's added value accounted for more than 6.5% of the province's GDP, and the province's operating income from survey and design activities increased by more than 10% annually.

The "Planning" proposes to use digital and intelligent construction technology to accelerate the innovation of design and construction methods through the industrialization of new buildings, promote the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry, and achieve high-quality development. By 2025, create more than 20 national-level new-type building industrialization demonstration projects, and prefabricated buildings will account for no less than 30% of the newly built building area. The province has built 5 industrial technology research institutes or engineering technology research centers, and 10 enterprise technology centers, conquered no less than 20 major key technologies, and completed no less than 50 major scientific and technological demonstration projects.

Under the carbon peak goal, Hubei Province will continue to improve the energy-saving standards of new buildings. For example, new, renovated (expanded) state office buildings and large public buildings will simultaneously design and install energy consumption sub-metering devices, and government-invested projects and large public buildings will enforce star-level green building standards. By 2025, 175 million square meters of renewable energy will be used in buildings, and 50% will be green building materials. The output of new wall materials will account for more than 93.5% of the total output of wall materials, and the proportion of applications in urban buildings will be no less than 97%.
