On October 29, the "2021 Prefabricated Building Site Observation Activity in Bao'an District, Shenzhen" was held at the DBS Plaza Project in Shajing Street, Bao'an District. With the theme of "improving the quality of construction projects and helping the green development of the city", the event attracted many construction and construction companies in the region to observe and learn.

The activity is through the establishment of prefabricated components such as steel truss floor decks, unit curtain walls, indoor ALC wall panels, craftsmanship models, VR experience halls, BIM information management platforms, and construction safety and civilization exhibition areas. The three-dimensional display highlights the green and technological construction of Baoan District's construction projects.

It is understood that the project construction unit, China Construction Second Bureau and First Company, adopted advanced construction techniques such as aluminum formwork, climbing frame, steel truss floor deck, unit curtain wall, and ALC inner partition wall slats. And through the technical research of the project, it has obtained 3 national-level achievement appraisals, 1 invention patent, 3 utility model patents, 1 construction method, and 3 national-level QC achievements.

In both the design and construction phases of the DBS Plaza project, the in-depth application of the building information model BIM technology has been realized, and it has been successfully selected as a science and technology project in the field of engineering construction in Shenzhen in 2021. At the same time, the project has done a lot of exploration and practice in green construction, actively recycling rainwater and renewable building materials, and has achieved remarkable results in energy conservation and environmental protection. It was rated as a "green model construction site".

Luo Xiaosheng, chief engineer of the South China Branch of China Construction Second Bureau No. 1 Company, said that the prefabricated buildings adopt standardized design, factory production, assembly construction, and information management, which greatly shortens the construction period. Improve construction efficiency and effectively realize energy conservation, environmental protection, and low carbon emission reduction. "As a large state-owned central enterprise, China Construction Second Bureau and First Company will continue to focus on creating prefabricated building demonstration projects to help build a beautiful Shenzhen."

It is reported that in recent years, Baoan District closely follows the pace of the national strategy, earnestly implements the national, provincial, and municipal policies on promoting the industrialization, industrialization, and technological development of buildings, and leads and promotes the rapid development of prefabricated buildings and construction technology in the region. Since 2017, Bao'an District has passed 73 prefabricated building technical reviews, with a total prefabricated building area of 8.34 million square meters, and the prefabricated building area in the district ranks first in Shenzhen. At the same time, a number of construction engineering science and technology projects such as Baoan Central Hospital, Baoan 39 shantytown renovation, DBS Plaza have been cultivated, and the prefabricated buildings and construction technology of the whole district have shown a good development trend of increasing quantity and quality.
