On October 29, news from the 23rd Bureau of China Railway said that on October 27, the concrete pouring of the last side of the 32nd floor of Building No. 2 in Area C was completed. It marks that the largest prefabricated resettlement housing project currently under construction in Chongqing—Zhongxian Shanty Town Renovation Project has all been topped.

The shantytown renovation project in Zhongxian County, Chongqing is the highest-level, most-storey, and largest-scale livelihood housing project in Zhongxian County so far, and the largest prefabricated resettlement housing project currently under construction in Chongqing.

The project is located on the southwest side of the section from Yuxi Bridge to Yuxi Third Bridge on Renmin Road, Zhongzhou Street, Zhongxian County, and was constructed by the 23rd Bureau of China Railway. The 7 buildings currently under construction are all capped, with the highest structure height of 121 meters, and a total construction area of 250,300 square meters. The main functions are commercial, residential, and underground parking garages.

According to reports, because the construction area is in the old town of Zhongxian County, the underground pipelines are intricate and the site is slender and narrow. The construction site is located on a slope of 45° as a whole, and the use of space is very limited, which brings great difficulties to the foundation construction.

In order to ensure that the project was completed on schedule, the project department actively optimized the construction plan, rationally arranged the construction process, and adopted a new type of assembly installation technology. That is, the prefabricated house components are transported to the construction site for assembly. Building a house is like building blocks. It is not only fast to build, but also green and environmentally friendly.

"During the construction process, we innovatively independently developed hoisting tools and support systems, and applied for 3 scientific and technological innovation patents." The person in charge of the 23rd Bureau of China Railway said that this is a 9% increase in the overall progress of traditional cast-in-place construction, and the joint construction period was completed 30 days earlier.

According to reports, the shantytown renovation project in Zhongxian County, Chongqing is also the first batch of prefabricated construction projects in Zhongxian County, which has played a leading and exemplary role in promoting green and energy-saving prefabricated buildings in the local area.
