Set a model benchmark! Zibo City, Shandong Province, Fully Promote Prefabricated Buildings

On the morning of October 27th, the Zibo prefabricated construction site promotion meeting was held at the construction site of the Zibo Education, Science and Industry Integration Base of Qingdao University of Science and Technology. Liu Rongxi, Vice Mayor of Zibo City, attended the event and delivered a speech, and put forward clear requirements on the development of prefabricated buildings in Zibo City.

During the event, the participants visited the Zibo Education, Science and Industry Integration Base of Qingdao University of Science and Technology. The representatives of the construction unit and the enterprise respectively introduced the progress of the project, project design, construction and components. The meeting also reported the progress of the prefabricated construction work in Zibo from January to September.

The Zibo Education, Science and Industry Integration Base of Qingdao University of Science and Technology is the first large-scale public construction project in Zibo that all adopts prefabricated buildings. The total planned area is about 300 mu, with a total construction area of 430,000 square meters. The first phase of the project is planned to cover an area of 203 mu, with a construction area of about 270,000 square meters. In terms of assembly rate, it should be fully equipped. Among them, the experimental training building, comprehensive building, and gymnasium total 190,000 square meters, using prefabricated steel structure buildings, with an assembly rate of 76%, reaching the two-star standard for prefabricated buildings. The student apartments and teacher and graduate apartments total 80,000 square meters, using prefabricated PC structure buildings, with an assembly rate of 64%, reaching the one-star standard for prefabricated buildings. The prefabricated components produced by local manufacturers are preferred to promote the specialized, standardized and large-scale development of prefabricated component production in Zibo. The project has officially started construction in July this year and is scheduled to be officially delivered in August 2022. After completion, it will be able to simultaneously meet the needs of 5,000 undergraduates and 500 postgraduates for experimental training and scientific research.

The meeting requested that the improvement of the policy system should be taken as the starting point and the top-level design should be strengthened. Districts and counties should formulate and release special plans for the development of prefabricated buildings and green buildings as soon as possible, and carry out pilot demonstrations in a solid manner. With the focus on green ecological demonstration districts, we will lead the city's green development of urban and rural construction and ensure that the green building design compliance rate is 100%. The proportion of newly started prefabricated buildings will reach more than 26% in 2021 and more than 40% in 2025. We must focus on the innovation of construction methods, promote the conversion of kinetic energy, and take the lead in applying green building materials and technology in government investment projects, key urban construction projects, municipal public works, green buildings, green ecological urban areas (towns), and prefabricated buildings. Continuously increase the proportion of green building materials used in new buildings in cities and towns. It is necessary to use construction technology innovation as the supporting point to promote the advancement of the prefabricated construction industry.
