In the first September of this year, the newly-built prefabricated buildings in Huizhou, Guangdong exceeded 4.5 million square meters

Recently, the Huizhou "Prefabricated Construction Engineering Technology and Quality Common Problems Prevention" on-site observation meeting was held at the construction site of the Wenhan Garden Project in Huiyang District. More than 50 companies came to observe the construction of prefabricated buildings and watched the workers splicing the prefabricated floor slabs one by one on the spot.

Since the beginning of this year, Huizhou prefabricated construction work has achieved rapid development. According to statistics from the Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, in the first three quarters, the city’s newly started prefabricated construction area was 4.5083 million square meters, 10 times that of the same period last year.

In recent years, Huizhou has vigorously promoted prefabricated buildings, established and refined a full-process management system, increased policy support, and steadily promoted the green transformation of construction methods and carbon emission reduction work, laying the foundation for Huizhou to achieve green development in urban and rural areas.

The city's prefabricated building area has steadily increased

In recent years, the Huizhou Municipal Housing and Urban-rural Construction Bureau has established a sound policy system for the whole life cycle of green buildings and prefabricated buildings, compacted the responsibility for the whole process of construction, and strengthened the acceptance of green buildings to ensure building quality. A series of guiding documents for the development of prefabricated buildings including the "Special Plan for Prefabricated Buildings in Huizhou City (2018-2025)" and the "Implementation Opinions of the Office of the People's Government of Huizhou City on Vigorously Developing Prefabricated Buildings" have been issued. Further clarify the work responsibilities of relevant departments, refine the prefabricated construction project approval and review process, realize the closed-loop supervision of the entire process of prefabricated buildings, and incorporate the requirements of prefabricated buildings into planning conditions to promote the development of the industry.

In the process of promoting the development of prefabricated buildings, Huizhou encourages enterprises to build high-standard production bases for prefabricated building parts. Up to now, the city has 9 prefabricated concrete prefabricated component manufacturers and 3 prefabricated steel structure component manufacturers in the region. With the construction and commissioning of a number of prefabricated industrial bases such as China Construction Steel Structure and Hangxiao Steel Structure, it is also accelerating the encouragement of enterprises to construct prefabricated construction projects.

This year, Huizhou prefabricated construction has been steadily advancing. At present, there are a total of 20 prefabricated residential construction projects under construction in the city. In the first three quarters, the city’s newly started prefabricated building area was 4.5083 million square meters, and the completed prefabricated building area was 439,000 square meters. Among the newly-started government-invested projects, the prefabricated building area is 282,400 square meters, accounting for 51.7%.

Build high-quality green buildings

Recently, the Office of the Central Committee and the Office of the State Council issued the "Opinions on Promoting the Green Development of Urban and Rural Construction", proposing specific measures to transform the development mode of urban and rural construction, emphasizing the construction of high-quality green buildings, and vigorously developing prefabricated buildings.

In order to promote the development of high-level green buildings, the Huizhou Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-rural Development is formulating the "Huizhou Green Building Action Implementation Plan (2021-2023)". Next, Huizhou City will further increase the proportion of prefabricated buildings in the city, and vigorously develop the industrialization of new types of buildings represented by prefabricated buildings. Adhere to standardized design, factory production, assembly construction, integrated decoration, and information management, and promote the deep integration of assembly and green buildings.

In the land supply link, we will continue to strengthen the rigid control of land supply, project approval, plan review, construction permit, construction supervision, and completion acceptance to ensure the quality and safety of prefabricated buildings until the end of 2025 target requirements are met.

At the same time, promote the transformation and upgrading of the concrete and cement products industry to the manufacturing enterprises of prefabricated construction parts, increase the design and actual production capacity of the manufacturers of prefabricated components and parts and components, and strive to achieve the creation of 5 prefabricated construction industrial bases by 2023.
