On October 12, the first batch of prefabricated box culverts were installed in the 110kV urban smart benchmarking substation project of Yuxiang, Shijiazhuang, Hebei. The installed prefabricated components are neatly arranged, surrounded by green screens, and the on-site intelligent equipment, solar lamps and photovoltaic panels are particularly eye-catching.



The Yuxiang project adopts "green intelligent construction" technology to realize "full factory processing, full mechanized construction, and full assembly line construction". Compared with traditional substations, it has high construction efficiency, can minimize on-site wet work, can reduce carbon emissions by a large proportion, and reach the highest standard of prefabricated building evaluation AAA.


"According to statistics, prefabricated buildings can reduce carbon emissions per square meter by 30%-40% compared with traditional construction, which can greatly improve the environmental protection of the project." said Jin Zhijian, deputy director of the project management center of the State Grid Shijiazhuang Power Supply Company.


According to the quota calculation, the total carbon dioxide emission during the construction phase of the Yuxiang Project is 130.315 tons. The company will set a total carbon emission of 108 tons as the project's peak carbon emission target, and use solar lighting, energy storage photovoltaics to save electricity, the electrification rate of construction machinery reaches 93%, and a series of energy-saving and emission reduction measures such as prefabricated construction + digital management to reduce the construction period, laying a solid foundation for achieving the goal of peak carbon emissions.


At the same time, Yuxiang Engineering adopts modern "BIM + smart construction site" technology to innovate material management business processes, and implement real-time three-dimensional visual tracking and monitoring of the entire process. It can arrange material scheduling and arrival according to the on-site construction plan, effectively avoiding the situation of "people waiting for machines, machines waiting for materials, materials waiting for people" on site, and realizing pipelined construction on the project site. In-depth application of BIM in the whole process was carried out, and 14 application points of 3 categories were realized, technical plan, construction management, and new technology expansion. Good results have been achieved in technology, quality, progress, materials, personnel, cost management, and industry unit collaboration, which promotes professional and efficient collaboration, makes project management more scientific and efficient, makes the site smarter and more civilized, and makes the project greener, and provided new experience for green construction of the project. 


It is reported that the 110 kV Yuxiang substation is expected to be completed by the end of the year. The practical experience of "green and intelligent construction" will provide new ideas for the subsequent construction of urban substations in Shijiazhuang, and contribute to the realization of national carbon peak and carbon neutral goals.
