Elite prefabricated construction workers gather in Jining City for the "Huashan Sword"

On October 16, the 2021 Shandong Provincial “Skills Revitalizing Lu” vocational skills competition——The first Shandong Provincial Housing and Construction Industry Professional Skills Competition (Prefabricated Construction Workers) Staff Team Competition, sponsored by Shandong Construction Technology and Education Association, Shandong Construction Labor Union, Jining Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau, and Rencheng District People’s Government, was held in Jining City.

The purpose of this competition is to further establish the spirit of craftsmanship in the field of construction, select and train skilled workers and high-level talent teams that can adapt to the sustainable and healthy development of prefabricated buildings, and drive the comprehensive improvement of the province's prefabricated building skills. It is of great significance to promote the training of prefabricated skilled talents in Shandong Province, promote the spirit of craftsmen, and promote the transformation and upgrading of the construction industry and high-quality development.

This competition is a provincial-level second-class skill competition, including three competition directions: deep design of prefabricated building components (individual competition), fabrication of prefabricated building components (group competition), and prefabricated building hoisting (group competition). The focus is on the theoretical basic knowledge, practical operation, team cooperation ability and professional skill level of the participating teams. It is a competition mode that adapts to the modern construction technology conditions and the development of the construction industry in the new era.

53 teams from 37 units from 16 prefectures and cities across the province participated in the competition. During the competition, the participating teams worked hard, were proactive, and displayed a high level of technology with a professional attitude, demonstrating the spirit of construction workers in the new era. After intense and fierce competition, the scheduled schedules were successfully completed. After strict review and discussion by the referee group, the first, second and third prizes of intensified design, fabrication of prefabricated building components, and prefabricated building hoisting were selected according to the group. .

As a national and Shandong province prefabricated building demonstration city, Jining attaches great importance to the development of prefabricated buildings. In recent years, Jining City has conscientiously implemented a series of decisions and deployments made by the central, provincial party committee and the provincial government on vigorously developing prefabricated buildings. Focusing on the central goal of promoting the high-quality development of the construction industry, adhere to the combination of government guidance and market leadership, improve policy mechanisms, and strengthen demonstration and guidance. Continuously develop and expand the scale of industrialization of new buildings, promote the continuous optimization of industrial layout, strengthen the construction of technical support capabilities, and improve the personnel training mechanism. The development of the city's prefabricated buildings has achieved remarkable results.

At present, Jining City has 4 national prefabricated construction industry bases, 8 provincial level, 12 demonstration projects, and 1 provincial prefabricated building experiential education base. A total of 38 prefabricated concrete parts production lines have been built, with a designed production capacity of 1.47 million cubic meters. The annual production capacity of steel structure components reaches more than 1.9 million tons, and there are 9 mature new-type construction industrialized production lines, and newly-started prefabricated buildings account for more than 32%.

In the next step, Jining City will take this opportunity to fight for a new stage, establish new ideas, create a new pattern, continue to promote management system innovation, increase policy support for prefabricated construction, and promote the application of advanced and mature technology systems.
