The second green prefabricated building training course held in Yueyang City, Hunan Province

On the morning of August 28, Municipal Bureau of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Yueyang organized and hosted the second phase of the city’s green prefabricated building technical specifications training course, and relevant experts from the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department of Hunan Province and Tongji University gave on-site lectures. Zhou Jinlong, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, Director, and Director of the Chain Office of Yueyang City Housing and Urban-rural Construction Bureau, Hu Lieyu, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Executive Deputy Director of the Chain Office, Persons in charge of relevant departments and bureau-affiliated units of Yueyang Municipal Housing and Urban-rural Construction Bureau, persons in charge of housing construction bureaus of various counties, urban areas, the principals of 160 key enterprises in development, design, supervision, bidding, construction, and prefabricated construction in the urban area attended or participated in the training.

It is reported that the city’s green prefabricated building special training conference was held to further implement the spirit of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government’s "Implementation Opinions on Accelerating the Construction of Seven Hundred Billion Industries and Promoting High-quality Development". Clarify the reform of the approval system for green prefabricated construction alternative engineering construction projects, and strengthen industry norms and linkages, and improve the level of management and engineering technicians in the construction industry in Yueyang City to master the use of prefabricated building standards.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Yueyang City Housing and Urban-rural Construction Bureau, our construction method was traditional in the past, with on-site pouring, low resource and energy utilization efficiency, large discharge of construction waste, and serious dust and noise pollution. The prefabricated building adopts standardized design, factory production, prefabricated construction, information management, intelligent application and integrated decoration. It greatly improves labor productivity, saves water by about 50%, saves wood formwork by about 80%, reduces construction waste by more than 80%, and reduces dust by more than 70%.

Up to now, Yueyang City has 9 prefabricated construction industrial bases, including 1 national residential industry demonstration base, 1 national prefabricated construction industrial base, 1 national-level steel structure prefabricated residential pilot county, 2 provincial-level prefabricated building demonstration bases, 28 various types of prefabricated buildings and new building materials industry chain scale enterprises, and 228 professional steel structure contracting construction enterprises.
