On the morning of September 28, the Press Office of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region held a press conference on Guangxi's Green Life Initiative in the Guangxi Press Conference Hall, and answered questions from reporters. According to the relevant person in charge of the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department of the Autonomous Region, the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department of the Autonomous Region and related departments have successively formulated the "Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Green Building Action Plan" and the "Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Green Community Creation Implementation Plan". Action goal for green building creation: By the end of 2022, the proportion of green building area in newly-built civil buildings in Guangxi cities and towns will reach 70%; the implementation rate of mandatory energy-saving standards for newly-built civil buildings will reach 100%. The green residential user supervision mechanism is gradually established; the proportion of prefabricated construction methods is steadily increasing.

From January to June 2021, the area of green buildings completed in the whole district will be 22.935 million square meters; new civil buildings will be fully implemented in the design and construction stages of mandatory energy-saving standards. There are 5 new prefabricated construction projects in the district, with a total construction area of 350,700 square meters, 44 prefabricated construction projects under construction, and a total construction area of 5.8246 million square meters.

In the next step, the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Department of the Autonomous Region will vigorously promote the overall improvement of the green and low-carbon level in the construction sector. Focus on promoting the strict implementation of green building design standards for newly built buildings in cities and towns, and the implementation of more demanding civil building energy-saving design standards. Promote the application of renewable energy in buildings, strengthen the closed supervision of the whole process of building energy saving, carry out green building legislation, and promote the energy-saving renovation of existing buildings and the application of green building materials. Steadily develop prefabricated buildings and increase the proportion of prefabricated buildings in the newly built building area.
