Establish standards for green building construction —— Hubei Province compiles green building design and construction manuals

How to make buildings less polluting and more energy efficient? On September 24, the Hubei Province Assembly Technology Observation and Consortium Technology Exchange Meeting posted news that the first draft of the Hubei Province "Green Construction Design Manual" and "Green Construction Construction Manual" was basically completed.

It is reported that the "Design Manual" and "Construction Manual" are respectively led by Zhongnan Design Institute and Wuhan Hanyang Municipal Group, with the participation of member units of the Green Construction Science and Innovation Consortium. The first draft was formed after several rounds of discussion and revision, providing technical and construction guidance for the green construction of housing and municipal engineering in Hubei Province.

The "Design Manual" researched 103 projects in Hubei Province that have obtained green building marks, and found that the thermal performance standards for doors, windows, walls and other building enclosure structures in Hubei Province are higher than the national standards. Residential buildings have good energy conservation, and the implementation of sponge city design is good. However, there are still shortcomings such as a single form of renewable energy application and a low proportion, and a low proportion of convenient pedestrian access to public transportation stations. In this regard, the "Design Manual" provides design guidelines in many aspects such as site planning, structure, HVAC, electrical appliances and intelligent design. For example, electrical appliances and intelligent design include green lighting and energy-saving design, energy-saving electrical equipment, wind power circuit lights, smart water technology and many other technical content.

The "Construction Manual" lists the technical list from basic items, upgrade items, and municipal engineering. Basic items include construction machinery and equipment, main structure, decoration, heat preservation and waterproofing works, etc. The improvement items include processing and distribution of molded products, prefabricated construction, waste reduction, etc.; municipal projects include road drainage, bridges, tunnels, and underground space projects. Taking the mobile sound insulation and noise reduction shed as an example, the steel plate and sound insulation cotton are used to effectively control the noise of the construction site. After monitoring, it is found that the noise of the pump truck can be reduced by 20 decibels, reducing the interference to the surrounding residents.

At the exchange meeting, members of government, enterprise and research institutions such as Zhongtian Sixth Construction, China Construction Eighth Bureau, Wuhan Construction Engineering, and Huazhong University of Science and Technology exchanged and discussed the contents of the manual, and proposed amendments to the chapter arrangement and details.

On the same day, the participants also visited the Jiangxia assembly factory of Meihao Construction Assembly Technology Co., Ltd., where production equipment such as manipulators, steel mesh welding machines, concrete placing machines, and turning machines operated in an orderly manner.
