Qinhuangdao City: Lulong County promotes prefabricated buildings to build a "green new future"

Based on the advantages of traditional industries, Lulong County in Qinhuangdao will make the most of the prefabricated building manufacturing industry, the refined fabricated building design and construction industry, and the specialized prefabricated building supporting service industry. On September 10, the reporter saw at the Judicial Court Project Office of Lulong County People's Court that the construction of the main body of the building of more than 9,000 square meters had been completed. Guo Yudong, the person in charge of the project department, told reporters that the main body of the building adopts prefabricated construction, standardized design, factory production, beams, columns, stairs, internal and external wall panels... These formerly cast-in-situ reinforced concrete components are now "assembled" like building blocks on the construction site into a building.

It is understood that in addition to fast construction speed, prefabricated buildings also have the characteristics of energy saving and environmental protection. The prefabricated components, or parts and components used in prefabricated buildings, are produced in the factory through an automated production line, and are precisely controlled by a computer, eliminating the waste of materials. After being transported to the site, bulk building materials such as sand, brick, and cement used in traditional construction were discarded in the assembly process, and construction waste was reduced. The components of prefabricated buildings can also be reused to achieve resource regeneration or material regeneration. Compared with traditional methods, prefabricated buildings can reduce construction waste by 70%, save wood by 60%, save cement mortar by 55%, and reduce water consumption by 25% during construction.

It is understood that all new affordable housing projects and government-invested projects in the administrative area of Lulong County adopt prefabricated construction. Newly built public buildings over 3000 square meters adopt prefabricated construction. All commercial housing development projects are equipped with prefabricated buildings in accordance with the annual target tasks set by superiors. The prefabricated buildings in Lulong County include the kindergarten project of Longqiyuan residential district, the 35th building of Hongyi International City Phase III, the infectious ward project of the county hospital of traditional Chinese medicine, etc., with a total construction area of 61,300 square meters.

At present, there are more than 20 enterprises related to the prefabricated construction industry in Lulong County, including Hebei Yongxiang, Baigong Iron and Steel, Guoyang Iron and Steel, and Wushan Cement. Among them, Hebei Yongxiang Integrated Housing Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 925 million yuan, has developed into a leading enterprise in the entire industry chain. In 2020, it was recognized as the prefabricated construction industry base of Hebei Province, and Lulong County was also recognized as the first batch of prefabricated construction demonstration counties in Hebei Province.
