On the afternoon of September 11, at the construction site of the Jinlong Building undertaken by the Shaanxi Construction 12th Construction Group, a 6-cm-thick laminated board rose slowly, marking the first successful application of prefabricated components in Ankang City. This is a milestone in the history of Ankang construction industry

Before hoisting, the project supervisor will strictly inspect the specifications, dimensions and appearance of the prefabricated components on the site, and raise the placard for acceptance. Subsequently, the project department conducted technical and safety clarifications to the operators, and conducted a comprehensive inspection of the floor supports, slab surface, and steel beams.

After everything is ready, hoisting officially begins. 2 workers are responsible for lifting, and the other 4 workers are responsible for assembly on the floor. It takes about 10 minutes for the first few laminates to be hoisted to the completion of assembly. As workers become more skilled in assembling, it only takes about 6 minutes for each laminate to complete the whole process from hoisting to assembly.

Said Wang Fei, the technical leader of the project. "After the special confession, the workers can get started quickly and the installation process is convenient. The key point of the assembly is to deal with the leaking'beard ribs' of the laminated slab and the corresponding side beam reinforcement."

According to reports, the 4th to 20th floors of the main body of Block B of Ankang Jinlong Building will use prefabricated laminated panels, which will save about 30% of the construction period compared with the traditional cast-in-place slab. In addition, the project will also use prefabricated stairs, saving about 70% of the construction period. The assembly rate of the entire building will reach 24.3%, which is Ankang's first project to adopt prefabricated construction.
