Tianjin vigorously develops prefabricated buildings to help achieve the "dual carbon" goal

The prefabricated building refers to a building made by processing and manufacturing floor panels, wall panels, stairs and other components and accessories in the factory, transporting them to the construction site, and fixing them like building blocks.

On the assembly line of the China Construction Sixth Bureau Green Building Technology Co., Ltd., a single-story slab can be produced after 12 processes and 18 hours. In addition to greatly shortening the construction period, prefabricated buildings can also increase the utilization rate of raw materials. Traditional building construction uses on-site pouring operations, and the leftover cement, bricks and other leftover materials can only be discarded as construction waste. When the work of pouring floor slabs and wall panels is changed to be completed in the assembly factory, these scraps can be recycled to make other accessory components.

In addition, in the traditional construction method, before each concrete pouring, it is necessary to fix the disposable wooden formwork outside the already built steel structure before pouring. With the prefabricated technology, at the construction site, the wooden formwork is replaced with a reusable aluminum formwork. After the fittings are installed, it is only necessary to pour the joints of the fittings, which greatly reduces the consumption of wood.

Up to now, Tianjin has built 14 prefabricated construction industrial bases to serve the construction of the Xiong'an Citizen Service Center and Tianjin Shuangqing New Home. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Tianjin will comprehensively reduce carbon emissions in the construction sector, and promote the use of prefabricated construction technology in 100% of new buildings.
