The government teamed up with schools and enterprises to crack the technical bottleneck

On the morning of August 24, at the New Construction Industry Convergence Research Center jointly established by Shandong University and Sandong Zhugong (Dezhou) Co., Ltd., technicians were conducting high-precision testing of building materials. Among them, flexural resistance and compression resistance are two important test indicators. Li Fugui, an experimenter in the research center, told reporters, "After the cement mortar is formed, it is cured for 24 hours and the mold is removed, and then placed in a constant temperature and humidity curing box. After placing it in a fully hydrated environment for 3 days, then carry out the flexural and compressive test."

Through fully automatic instrument testing, all the test samples reached the standard, which also made the on-site technicians happy. However, before the laboratory was built, these building materials products had encountered many technical problems. "The prefabricated components we produced previously had honeycomb pitted surfaces and pores on the surface. A large number of manual repairs were required in the later stage, which increased production and labor costs." Zhang Yongchao, director of the company's technology achievement transformation center, said.

The development of enterprises is hindered, and the government depends on services. Under the multi-party coordination of the Management Committee of the Dezhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, Sandong ZhuGong successfully joined hands with Shandong University to establish the "Postdoctoral Innovation Base and New Construction Industry Integration Research Center". Through the in-depth cooperation of talents and technology, the technical bottleneck has been solved. Fang Zezhi, general manager of the enterprise, said, “Traditional assembly methods now have two technical pain points. One pain point is that the construction speed is not fast, and the other pain point is that there is a wet connection on site, so construction quality and safety are difficult to guarantee. "

In response to these two pain points, both the school and the enterprise have introduced the latest scientific research results and upgraded the production process. From the traditional wet connection to the dry connection, new breakthroughs have been achieved in efficiency, quality, and energy saving.

"The construction speed has increased. The construction speed of traditional prefabricated buildings is generally 7 days for one floor. Our current dry connection construction speed has increased to 3 days for one floor." Fang Zezhi told reporters that after the process was improved, the construction quality was more assured. About 70% of the components can be used in turn, which is more energy-saving and environmentally friendly.

Not only that, the school and enterprise have also cooperated in the research and development of modular integration technology, which produces components in the workshop and then assembles them on site, building houses like building blocks, which greatly saves construction time. " In traditional construction technology, a bathroom of five or six square meters requires eight to ten days of construction, but a bathroom assembled with modular integration technology can be completed in two days." Xin Jiakai, Manager of Enterprise Marketing Development Department said.

Five major projects won provincial prefabricated demonstration project honors and bonus funds

According to the "Shandong Province Green Building Promotion Measures" and other policy documents, by 2020, the proportion of newly built prefabricated buildings in the newly built building area will reach more than 25%. The shed conversion housing, government investment projects and large-scale public buildings must be constructed in accordance with the prefabricated building standards, and the commercial housing must be fully implemented with prefabricated stairs and laminated floor slabs. At present, the prefabricated construction industry in Dezhou Economic and Technological Development Zone has achieved initial results.

While meeting the needs of the local market, the prefabricated construction industry in the Dezhou Economic Development Zone continues to expand to Hebei and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.  In 2022, the shear wall panels, prefabricated stairs, prefabricated laminated panels and other components used in the Beijing Winter Olympic Village Talent Apartment Project will be provided by Dezhou enterprises.
