According to Dong Yong, member of the party group and deputy director of the Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Committee, Chongqing promotes the coordinated development of intelligent construction and construction industrialization. Promote the integrated and standardized design of prefabricated buildings, promote the application of industrialized decoration technology, adopt industrialized construction methods for municipal engineering projects such as rail transit, bridges, and tunnels in the city, and actively promote industrialized construction technology in rural housing construction.

"Through the above measures, it is estimated that 80% of the construction waste on site and 60% of material loss will be reduced, the construction period will be shortened by 30% on average, and the construction noise and dust pollution will be significantly reduced, while the interference and impact on urban traffic can be greatly reduced. Chongqing vigorously develops green and low-carbon buildings, and promotes the application of suitable green and low-carbon technologies such as wall self-insulation, high-efficiency energy-saving doors and windows, building shading, rainwater collection, and roof greening. It is planned that by 2025, the city's new urban buildings will fully implement the green building standards, the application ratio of green building materials in civil buildings will reach 70%, and the green renovation area of 5 million square meters of new existing buildings will be added.
